Wilma Maxine Selman, 77, died on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Merit Health Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. Born September 9, 1938 in Arkansas, she was a daughter of John Henry and Mildred King Hill. Growing up in Arkansas, she later lived in Fayette, Alabama and she was known as a hard working lady. Prior to her retirement, she worked for the Fayette Cotton Mill. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Katie. Her hobbies included flower gardening and she attended New Creation Fellowship in Amory.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the New Creation Fellowship in Amory with Bro. John Waldon officiating. Burial will follow in the Lann Cemetery. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Smith (Mike) of Amory and Gail McIntosh of Michigan; 5 sons, Michael, Joe, Ronnie, Randy, and Tony Keeton of Michigan; 6 brothers, Earl, Johnny, Jimmy, Teddy, Eddie, and Ben Hill; and two sisters, Ruby Hill and Mary Keeton. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and she has a host of surviving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thurman Selman; and a son, Ronald Selman.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Tidwell, Josh Chism, John Montgomery, Joe Richardson, Jimbo Adams, and Dillon Woods. Honorary pallbearer will be John Wokosin.
Visistation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the church.
