William Hermon Gregory, 86, passed away from this life on Monday, February 26, 2024 at his home.  He was born on September 17, 1937 in Pontotoc County to Hermon and Rubie Culpepper Gregory.  A graduate of Smithville High School, he worked for Pullman Couch as a supervisor and retired as a supervisor at True Temper Sports in Amory.  He married the former Virginia Tubb on February 7, 1960.  W.H. was also an old-time farmer who enjoyed gardening and plowing with horses and mules.  He loved hooking his horses up to the wagon and going for a ride.  He was a cattleman and liked nothing better than to cut and bail hay or just be out on the tractor.  He was a faithful member of Smithville Baptist Church where he was an inactive deacon and for many years, he was a Sunday School teacher and had been the music director in the past.  His contagious smile and pleasant demeanor will be greatly missed.
