Terry Hall

Terry Glen Hall, 64, of Amory, MS, passed away on January 21, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center.

Terry loved working with wood and building things, and was always working on something. He never did anything halfway, but with patience and precision. Even after an electrical accident took his right arm and leg, and nearly claimed his life, he never let it stop him. He was happiest when he was helping others, and spent the majority of his time doing just that. He built wheelchair ramps for those in need; volunteered countless hours of his time, along with others, remodeling East Amory Baptist Church; demonstrated prosthetics for the OT and PT students at Itawamba Community College; accepted invitations to give his testimony at other churches and assemblies; made hospital visits to encourage amputee patients; and served as a handyman for anyone who called on him, never asking for anything in return. When others feared there was no hope for her, Terry used his knowledge, skills, and compassion to aid in rescuing one of the 2011 Smithville Tornado victims, who was trapped underneath the rubble of her home. Terry was humble and never wanted any praise. Truth be told, he never really knew how special he truly was. He was generous and kind and loved by all who knew him. He could sit and talk for hours, even to complete strangers, and rarely left a conversation without saying, “Let me know if you need anything”. He always meant it. He loved the Lord and showed it by the way he loved others. Selfless and continuously placing others before himself, Terry will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Terry is survived by his wife of nearly 29 years, Dianne Ratliff Hall; daughter, Tina Culver (Richard); grandchildren, Myles (Anna), Chance, Charlee, and Bella Culver; great granddaughter, Beverly Culver; brothers, Garry Hall and Gerald Hall; sisters, Jean Pennington and Patricia Pennington (Thomas); nieces, Lacey Elliot (Lee) and Emily Hall; nephews, Jason Johns (Jessica) and USAF MSgt Wayne Pennington (Lauren); a host of great nieces and nephews; and many, many wonderful friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marshall Hall; his mother, Carrie Westmoreland Hall; his brother, Billy Ray Hall; and a dear friend, who was like a brother to him, Brother R.D. Cline.

A memorial service will be tentatively held at East Amory Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 2 pm, with Brother Garry Carroll and Brother Roger Akers officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time. Pallbearers will be Chance Culver, Richard Culver, Jason Johns, Wayne Pennington, Jeremy Carrol, Brandon Johnson, and Josh Awtrey. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Simmons and Stacy Sanders.
