Susan Ann Rumley, 83, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2019 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Amory. Born on February 13, 1936 in Missouri, she was a daughter to Henry and Francis Clapper Rumley. Later she lived in several Mississippi cities, moving from Charleston to Amory in 2001. Prior to retirement, she worked in the garment industry and the restaurant business. An animal lover, her pride was Cricket and Boogie. Susan had a large collection of baby dolls and she would treat them as if they were real. Anyone close to Susan would tell you she had a sacrificial love that was beyond compare and having a deep faith in Jesus as her savior, she was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Susan will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Danny Carl Burks officiating. Burial will follow in the Northington-Heard Cemetery.
Survivors include special friends and caregivers, the daughters of Leroy Gaskin, Judy Northington (Jim) of Gattman, Cathy Mitchell of Quincy, and Ann Ayres of Amory; and a host of other friends and caregivers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and special friend, Leroy Gaskin.
Pallbearers will be Justin Simmons, Jim Northington, Colby Burks, Trent Ward, Jerry Hall, and Phil Prewitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Southern Care Hospice employees.
Visitation will be from 3:30 until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
