Russell "Rusty" Wimberley Miller, 62, passed away on July 1, 2026 at North Mississippi Medical Center- Gilmore in Amory. He was born in Amory on January 3, 1963 to Donald Hugh Miller and Sandra Malone Coker. Rusty was a graduate of Amory High School and went on to attend Itawamba Junior College. Rusty was a talented man, could do anything and worked for the likes of Lockheed Martin and Ingalls Shipyard. From the age of 7, Rusty was raised by his grandmother, Nell Miller who was affectionately called "Bubba". Rusty was bold, fearless and sometimes blunt but at the same time he was a kind hearted man who would give you the shirt off of his back. Always erring on the side of right, Rusty always operated in integrity and truth. He dearly loved his family, especially his children. Rusty believed in God and was baptized at a young age at First Methodist Church in Amory.
Rusty is survived by his father, Don Miller; mother, Sandra Malone Coker; daughter, Kailey Miller; son, Tommy Miller; sister, Megan Miller; aunts, Nan Miller, Dorinda Miller, Debbie Miller; uncle, Billy Malone; special cousins and caregivers, Randy Brown, Roger Brown and Barbara Brown Hudson; a host of other cousins.
Rusty is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hugh and Nell Miller, Marshall and Clara Bacon Malone; brother, Hugh William Miller; aunts, Nell Malone Cowley, Jackie Malone Verrell, Eunice "Runt" Malone Brown, Bobbie Jean Malone Luther; uncles, Ray Miller, Lee Miller and Sidney "Sonny" Malone.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Grady's Chapel Methodist Church on Central Grove Road.
