Ronnie Lester

Ronnie Adron Lester, 72, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo.  Born on July 9, 1949 in Vardaman, he was a son to Ottis Adron and Nellie Faye Easley.  Ronnie was a graduate of Vardaman High School and he attended MSU.  Prior to his retirement, he was a tool and die maker at True Temper Sports in Amory.  He married the former Arlene Dahlem in August, 2008.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he also served on the board of directors for the Tombigee Federal Credit Union being vice president for many years.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Rev. Tony Lester officiating.  

In addition to his wife, Susan Arlene Lester of Amory he is survived by daughter, Sonya Lester; daughter, Megan Davis (John); three brothers, Ricky Gale Lester (Rachel), Delwin Ottis Lester (Terri), and Tony Delane Lester (Crystal);  4 grandchildren, Fletcher Pope, Lacey Davis, Sophie Davis, and Marley Kate Pope; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lamar Lester; and son, Eric Pope.
