Robert Ausbon

Robert Mitchell Ausbon, 43, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany on May 5, 2026.  He was born in Amory on January 20, 1983 to Robbie Ausbon and Brenda Worthey.  Robert attended Hatley, Dorsey, Tupelo and IAHS Schools.  With an inquisitive mind and a desire to learn new things, Robert was a jack of all trades from HVAC work to roofing to stained glass.  He had a keen interest in studying rocks and astrology.  Never one to waste anything, he loved to collect what others considered old and worn out and repurpose them into a new creation.  Robert loved to ride his Harley that he rebuilt himself.  He shared a close bond with his family, especially his children, nieces and nephews.  

Robert is survived by his father, Robbie Ausbon (Mechelle), Amory; mother, Brenda Worthey (David Brown), New Albany; son, Micah Ausbon; daughter, Lillie Ausbon; siblings, Olivia Grace Ausbon, Houston, TX, Dustin Gray (Ashley), Smithville, Steve Brown (Nikki), Myrtle, Cody Brown (Shelby), Pontotoc, Brittney Gullick (Steven), Hickory Flatt, Elizabeth Looney (Paul), New Albany; grandmother, Lydia White; aunts, Michelle Underwood, Amber Ausbon and Della Stocks (Jeff); uncle, Joseph Worthey; special niece and nephew, Elizabeth Wood and Chris Crawley; special friends, Celia Carr and Michelle King.

Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mitchell Worthey, Elizabeth Worthey and Landon Ausbon; uncle, Mickey Ausbon.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Burks officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 12 PM until 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory are asked to be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
