Robbie Claire Bell Huffman

July 13, 1939–November 2, 2026

Robbie Claire Bell Huffman, 87, of Wren, MS, entered her heavenly home on November 2, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Robbie Claire, also known as “Rob,” was born on July 13, 1939, to the late Morris Huddleston and Clara Pigford Bell of Okolona. A graduate of Okolona High School, Robbie went on to Millsaps College. She married her high school sweetheart, James David “Jim” Huffman. And went on to complete her studies at Mississippi State University.

Robbie’s faith was the foundation of her life. She knew Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior and longed to meet Him face to face. A charter member of St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in Amory, Robbie cherished her church family and the memories of mission trips, Bible studies, and fellowships they shared.

Throughout her life, Robbie wore many hats. She worked as a medical technician at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. Alongside her husband, she owned The Clothes Hanger in Tupelo, West Point, Amory, and Altlanta, and The Windshield Surgeon of Amory. Robbie also served as a caregiver to her family. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend.

Robbie found joy in making memories with those she loved. She spent many years traveling and camping with her family and made special lifelong friends along the way. Robbie was passionate about her flowerbeds. She enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies, decorating, and crafting. She loved collecting recipes and cooking, and she was especially known for her lemon icebox meringue pie.

Above all, Robbie treasured her family—playing marbles and card games, sharing meals, watching football, and spending time together.

Robbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 54 years, James David “Jim” Huffman; her son, James David “Jimmy” Huffman II; and her parents, Morris and Clara Bell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kim (Sid) Oakley of Kennesaw, GA; son, Marty (Marcia) Huffman of Wren, MS; and daughter-in-law, Cindy (Glenn) Boatfield of Loganville, GA.

She also leaves behind six grandchildren: David Huffman; Jamie (Carter) Musick; Blake (Susannah) Huffman; Jared (Maggie) Oakley; Reagan (Chase) Gilreath; and Drew Huffman (Taylor Hyland); four great-grandchildren: Blakely Huffman, Everett Huffman, Annie Musick, and Franklin Musick; a nephew, Mike (Nina) Huffman; several cousins; her name sake, Robin Smith (John) Sylva; and many special friends who were blessed to know and love her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home (1604 MS 125 S, Amory, MS) on Friday, November 6 at 2:00p.m. Graveside Service will follow at the Masonic Cemetery of Amory. Visitation is from 12 PM until service time. Rev. Debra Lay will officiate the service.

Pallbearers are David Huffman, Blake Huffman, Jared Oakley, Drew Huffman, Chase Gilreath, Carter Musick, and John Sylva. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Huffman and Tommy Bell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Robbie to St. Andrews Methodist Church (1123 Legion Drive, Amory, MS 38821) or the Masonic Cemetery (502 Main Street South Amory, MS 38821).

Robbie’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the faith she held dear, and the traditions and memories she created. Her family finds comfort in knowing that the Savior she loved and longed to meet has welcomed her home.
