Randy Rogers, 55, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. A native of Monroe County he was born on May 2, 1965 to Kelly Wayne Rogers and Annie Mae Brown Maxey. He attended school in Becker and graduated from Amory High School. Randy married Donna Spencer on June 29, 1992 and lived in Vina, AL. For over 20 years, he worked in maintenance for the City of Red Bay Housing Authority and he was raised in the Missionary Baptist Church. He kept his eyes open for a good deal at any antique shop and he was an avid collector of all things. Randy loved his family of whom he was most proud, and he could talk to anyone, never meeting a stranger. His favorite hobby was fishing.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Mark Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Rogers of Vina; stepfather, Sidney Maxey of Smithville; one son, Jonathon Rogers (Megan) of Hot Springs Village, AR; one brother, Scotty James Rogers of Golden; one sister, Wanda Rogers of Smithville; a host of nieces and nephews; and good friends, Ken Beasley and Gerald Shook.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Dean Rogers; and his mother and father-in-law, Joy and Anita Spencer.
Pallbearers will be Anthony and Nathan Little, Don Spencer, Tony York, Richard McAfee, and Jeff Brown.
Visitation will be on Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
