Phillip White

William Phillip "Biscuit" White, 61, passed away at his residence in Evergreen on Thursday, September 24, 2026.  He was born in Tupelo on April 6, 1965 to Walter and Lucille Shumpert White.  Phillip was a graduate of Itawamba Agriculture High School.  He married Pamela Cox on June 27, 1992 and worked at Cooper Tire until his health began to fail.  Phillip enjoyed hunting, fishing and bee keeping.  He enjoyed learning new hobbies that interested him.  Phillip also enjoyed wood working and built numerous wooden toys that he loved to give others.  He was generous and was all the time helping others fix or build things.  Phillip never met a stranger and loved to say that a stranger is a friend you never met!  He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who deeply cared for those he loved.  Phillip had a deep rooted faith in God and during his sickness he often said, I am not worrying about it, Ive talked with God and He's got this, it will be ok.  He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.  

Phillip is survived by his wife of 34 years, Pamela Cox White, Evergreen Community; parents, Walter and Lucille White, Evergreen Community; daughters, Summer White (BJ), Fulton and Laura Archie (Tyler), Nettleton; brothers, Paul White (Leah Anna), Fulton and John White (Jeri), Saltillo; grandchildren, Reid Jenkins, Tucker Jenkins, Weston Archie and Knox Archie; 6 nephews, 7 nieces, 3 great nephews, 2 great nieces; bonus family, Austin Jenkins (Kaitlyn Renfroe), Nettleton.

Phillip is preceded in death by his sister, Sara White; uncle, Allen Shumpert: grandparents, James and Gertie Bell Shumpert, Guy and Lilly White.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Bubba Kennedy and Bro. Michael Yielding officiating.  Burial will follow in New Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Bubba Bennett, Chris Gillentine, Mike Farris, Jody Berryhill, Sonny White, Andrew White, Trelvie McMillian and Austin Jenkins.  Honorary pallbearers will be Pat West, Gary Hughes, Tommy Leslie, Mike Harkey and Phillip's 4 grandsons.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM.
