Paula Mae Lampe Beukema, 74, died on Tuesday, October 04, 2016 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born March 31, 1942 in Mattoon, IL she was a daughter to August and Teresa Diemeke Lampe. Growing up in Mattoon, IL she graduated school there and married John Beukema in 1974. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the public school system in Tucson, AZ as a food service worker and as a military wife, she traveled extensively with her husband considering them new journeys. Having an eye for art, she enjoyed painting pictures, particularly her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and her home in the Becker Bottom of Monroe County for the past 9 years. She was Catholic.
Services will be 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, John Beukema of Becker; one daughter, Michelle Evans (Lynn) of Hamilton; brother-in-law, Bert Beukema (Shirley) of South Hollow, IL; sister-in-law, Grace Jacobsma of South Hollow, IL; one sister, Rose Chapman of Scottsdale, AZ; two grandchildren, Dustin Evans and Brandy Sachs; 3 great grandchildren, Colton Evans, Holden Evans, and Jacob Sachs; and nieces, Angie Evergard of Germantown, IL and Lana Arboghast of Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Daniell Evans; and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until service time on Thursday the funeral home.
