Odis Lee Bradshaw, 87, died on Friday, December 23, 2016 at his home near Smithville. Born January 7, 1929 in Neshoba County, Mississippi he was a son to Newton Alexander and Mary Margaret Elizabeth Hudson Bradshaw. Odis served in the U.S. Army and prior to his retirement, he was self-employed as a timber cutter. He married Mary Magdalene Hughes and he was of the Church of God faith. An avid outdoorsman, his hobbies included gardening, hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Dale Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Turon Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Bradshaw of Smithville; 4 sons, Odis N. Bradshaw of Gore Springs, MS, Jimmy Ray Bradshaw of Alamogordo, NM, Joe W. Bradshaw of Carleton, MI, and Odis Lee Bradshaw, Jr. of Shirley, AR; 3 daughters, Linda C. Wortham of Paris, TX, Annette B. Asbill of Gore Springs, and Sharon J. Standridge of Gore Springs; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Andrew and Charlie Bradshaw; 8 sisters, Lois Joiner, Nettie Neice, Vinie Fredrick, Sudie Neice, Lesper Ricks, Ivy Dickerson, Lexi Breedlove, and Odessa Blackmon; and a daughter, Redia r. Skrivanek.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bradshaw, Matthew Thornton, Corey and Casey Gray, Justin and Jeremy Goodin, and Odis N. Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Cox.
Visitation will be from noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
