Leroy Neal Guin, 65, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital on May 5, 2026. He was born in Aberdeen on November 18, 1960 to the late Hubert Leroy Guin and Grace Riner Guin. Neal attended Aberdeen School and married Wanda Gaye Cagle on June 6, 1980. Neal drove a truck for several years before a longtime career in the parts business. In 1994 he began working at Auto Zone in Amory and over the next 28 years he was a manager at both Auto Zone and O’Reilly’s. Neal was known for his vast knowledge of automobile repair and auto parts. He loved his work and made many friends throughout his career. Neal also enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, building 2 of his homes himself. He was a talented man who could accomplish anything he put his mind to. Neal also enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Mike Wood. Above All, Neal adored his family and loved them dearly. Through the years that Neal battled cancer, his faith in God never waivered and he was glad to share his love for the Lord with others. As a sign of his faith, Neal would often give out Little Jesus figurines and candy. Neal was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Neal is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gaye Guin, Aberdeen; daughter, Stephanie Minga (Nathan), Splunge; sister, Tina Evans (Mike), Aberdeen; brother, Tony Guin (Marie), Hamilton; grandchildren, Taylor McCaine (James) and Chase Ritter; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Jean McCaine and Scottie Claire McCaine; special friends, Mike Wood and Benny Wright.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. JD Markham officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Guin, Brad Taylor, Joey Mills, Michael Evans, Christopher Hall and Brandon Hall.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 10 AM until noon.
