Michael “Bobo” Lee Dykes, 54, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was born in Amory on February 12, 1971 to Michael and Elizabeth Dykes. Bobo was a graduate of Amory High School. From the time he could walk Bobo began riding alongside his dad in his plumbing truck. From what began as toting his dad tools eventually became a life long career working alongside his father in the family business, Dykes Plumbing. Bobo was a master plumber who took great pride in his work and made an effort to take care of and please each customer throughout the years. His work ethic was so strong that he was often described as a 5 man crew in himself. When he wasn’t plumbing, he would be outdoors doing yard work, fixing something or helping someone in need. He was a collector of all things and had the ability to see the potential in something that others would throw away. A loyal friend to many, Bobo was always cutting up, making others laugh, having a good time and would always take time talk and visit with his friends. He had a genuine love for people, especially his family and children. Bobo’s humor, laughter, loyalty, friendship and dedication is sure to leave a legacy in the lives of all who knew him.
Bobo is survived by his parents, Michael and Liz Dykes, Amory; fiancé Leigh Ann Irvin, Amory; son, Michael Luke Dykes, Sioux Falls, SD; daughters, Catlyn Dykes, Amory and Devon Dykes, LA; sister, Ashley White, Ecru; brother, Matthew Dykes (Julia), Amory; grandson, Waylon Lee Jones; aunt, Melanie Baucom, Ocean Springs, MS; uncles, David Dykes, Amory, Jim Dykes (Carol), Amory, Loren Ashley (Treasea), Tacoma, Washington; Lee Ashley, New Hope; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
