Linda Prestridge

Linda Lee Prestridge, 79, passed away at her residence in Amory on Thursday, August 21, 2025.  She was born in Rock City, Alabama on December 16, 1945 to the late JD Stephens and Clorene Palmer Davis.  Linda was a graduate of Cordova High School.  She married Newt Prestridge on August 5, 1979.  Together they owned and operated several businesses, including a restaurant and other ventures.  Linda was a faithful and devoted Christian.  While attending Amory First United Methodist Church and Smithville Methodist Church, Linda completed all of the requirements to become a lay minister.  She ministered in several different places and touched many live throughout her years.  Linda enjoyed working in her yard and planting many different varieties of flowers, plants and bushes.  She was proud to have won yard of the month from the Amory Flower Club. nbLinda lastly attended Forward Church in Amory.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Linda Caye Barnett (Jesse), Amory; son, Jim Eastman, Greer, S.C.; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Linda is preceded in death by a daughter, Brunda Hunsucker; son, Tommy Eastman; grandson, Cory Gavin Eastman.

A graveside inurnment will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Haughton Memorial Park in Amory with Bro. Greg Huguley officiating.
