Kathy Huffman

Kathy Lynn Chism Huffman, 57, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at her home. She was born in Monroe County to Tuttie and Dean Chism on December 6, 1963. She was a graduate of Amory High School. Kathy worked for many years at Wal-Mart but retired after 27 years at Lowe’s in Columbus as garden center manager. She married Richard Huffman in 2006. She enjoyed keeping her yard up and she never met a stranger. Kathy loved people and loved to visit. Even in the midst of adversity, she remained upbeat with a smile on her face; a smile her family and her customers loved.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Greg Huguley officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemtery.

In addition to her husband Richard Huffman, she is survived by son, Jordan Nathaniel Huffman of Tupelo; daughter, Amber Renee Huffman of Amory; one brother, Joe Chism (Cindy) of Becker; brother-in-law, Mike Huffman (Nina) of Amory; mother-in-law, Carolyn Huffman of Wren; grandchildren, Bella Grace Huffman and Avery Claire Huffman; great grandchildren, Kyle Huffman and Laura Beth Vaughan (Matt); nephews, Patrick and Eli Chism; great nieces and nephews, Haley and Abbie Gail Chism and Bailey Grace Vaughan; and a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a niece, Monica Chism.

Pallbearers will be Mike Huffman, Jordan Huffman, Matt Vaughan, Patrick Chism, Eli Chism, and Kyle Huffman.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 until 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
