Joe Curtis Camp, 78, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025.  He was born in Smithville to the late Henry F. Camp and Edith Cole Camp.  Joe married FelissaFunderburk and together they had a wonderful marriage.  If you knew Joe, you knew that he was a man of deep faith and conviction.  It was his faith that was guide for his life.  Joe served as pastor of New Life Tabernacle for over 35 years and with only a 6th grade education, he taught himself to read and how to study the Bible.  Joe's greatest joy was to share the love of Christ to all he seen.  He enjoyed mission trips and had a heart for children.  He and Felissa gave many children a home and adopted many in need.  Joe could always be counted on to anyone in need and helped his fellow neighbor every chance he got.  He also worked as a janitor and carpenter, building a home for his family and several churches.  When he had time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and driving his tractor.  Joe was a devoted family man and will be remembered for his unwavering faith and commitment to God.

Joe is survived by his wife, Felissa Camp; children, Mitizi Stone (Richie), Mae Holden (Shane), Nancy Brown, Charlotte McCullar (Marlin), Tabitha Davidson (Jonathan), Brittani Tidwell (Zack), Dianna Welch-Camp, Joseph Camp, Allen Welch, Maxwell Welch, Ken Funderburk (Susan), Austin Funderburk, Jonathan Funderburk (Maggie), Luke Frazier; sisters, Wanda Guyton, Sheila Lane and Melissa White; brother, Shorty Camp; grandchildren, Tyler Stone (Tessie), Hannah Stone, Andrew McCullar, Katie Brooke McCullar, Jonathan Camp, Matthew Camp, Lareina Brown, Zoey, Kadie, Emma, Byron, Taylee, Daniel; great grandchildren, Tucker, Titus, Tyler, Hayes, Stone, Sofia, Andrew Camp, Valley, Thaylen; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his son, William Camp; brothers, Frankie Camp and Billy Camp; sisters, Betty Ann Hall and Henry Mae Poole.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Richie Stone and Bro. Gary Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Pickle Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jonathan Camp, Maxwell Welch, Jonathan Funderburk, Luke Frazier-Camp, Ken Funderburk, Tyler Stone, Ray Priest and Joseph Camp.  Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Camp, Richie Stone, Jonathan Davidson, Tucker Chaney, Thaylen Stone, Titus Stone, Darren Richards, Marlin McCullar, Allen Welch, Ty Stone, Hayes Linley, Stone Linley and Andrew Camp.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday from noon until 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations to defray final expenses be given to the funeral home.
