Jeffery Ware

Jeffery Scott Ware, 44, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home. Jeffery was born on September 12, 1973 in Aberdeen to Clovis Ware and Judy Young Ware. He was a 1991 graduate of Smithville High School where he excelled in football and basketball. Prior to his becoming disabled, he worked for 22 years for Hunter Douglas as a materials handler. For nine years, he was a MHSAA basketball official. Jeffery was passionate about coaching and he had the keen ability to grow young people through athletics into the men and women they could become all the while emphasizing their academic ability. His family and his children were his life and he was known as a positive, kind, forgiving individual and lived by the motto to love all people and let God judge. He fought a hard battle against a disease that should’ve taken his life 4 years ago; but never giving up, he defied all odds. Jeffery was a member of the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church but had been attending First Free Will Baptist Church in Smithville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Dr. Steve McKinney, Bro. Chris Moody, Bro. Danny Burks, Bro. Kevin Crook, Bro. Chip Harmon, and Bro. Harlin Bailey officiating. Survivors include his wife, Robyn Wigginton Ware of Smithville; father, Clovis Ware, Jr.; one son, Jeffrey Ware, Jr (Da’Iamesia) of Hattiesburg; Mikaila Aven (Taylor) of Adamsville, TN, Marissa Ware, Kamilah Ware, Kiersten Ware, Malia Ware all of the home; one brother, Barry Ware of Smithville; his mother-in-law, Judy Kyles (Leonard) of Millington, TN; father-in-law, Danny Wigginton (Linda) of Fulton; brother-in-law, Bryon Wigginton (Nikki); a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and special cousins, Angelia Washington, Sandy Sharp, and Clifford Freeman. He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, Jeffie and Wiley Young; and Clovis, Sr. and Lila Ware. Pallbearers will be Clifford Freeman, Rico Hampton, Jason Miller, Cory Nails, Chad Gipson, Matt Grier, Bobby Fears, O.J. Ware, and Ronnie Rainey. Honorary pallbearers will be Amp Smith, Robert Foster, Guyvester Dobbs, Michael Washington, Aaron Washington, Kenny Young, and Steve Martinez. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at clevelandmoffettfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Smithville Basketball Booster Club c/o Jason Heady.
