Hamilton "Junior" Burley Sandlin, Jr.

Hamilton Burley Sandlin, Jr., 65, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the NMMC- Gilmore in Amory.  He was born in Monroe County on March 23, 1957 to the late Hamilton Burley Sandlin, Sr. and Elsie Lavern Kennedy Sandlin.  Junior attended Smithville School and married Claudia Wilson in 1991.  Prior to becoming disabled, he was a long haul truck driver.  He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, going to the casino and spending time with family.

Junior is survived by his children, Anthony Sandlin, Nikki Brown (Ira) and Stacey Sandlin; brothers, Herschel Sandlin (Juanita), Roy Lee Sandlin (Anna) and Larry Sandlin (Mary); sister in law, Linda West; grandchildren, Brandon, Andrew and Austin Butler, Destany Brown, Alisha, Eric and Samantha Sandlin; great granddaughter, Gail Butler; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Junior is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Sandlin.

A private family service will be held later.
