Guy Powell

Guy William Powell, 66, died on Saturday, December 11, 2016 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born November 26, 1950 in Monroe County, he was a son of Clyde Hilton and Corine Yeager Powell. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a machinist for ITT/Fabrivalve in Amory. A Mason, he also enjoyed gardening, mechanic work, watching NASCAR, and he was an animal lover. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Carolina Cemetery in Itawamba County. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his mother, Corine Powell of Carolina; one son, Jody Powell (Misty) of Hatley; one daughter, Crystal Parker (Marty) of Amory; one brother, David Powell (Patti) of Carolina; one sister, Diane Falls (Tony) of Tremont; 4 grandchildren, Jack, Conner, and Ella Powell and Dustin Parker (Brooklyn); an aunt, Gladys Crump of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.
