Margaret Frances Miller, 91, died on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at her granddaughter’s residence in Hamilton. Born on June 14, 1926, she was a daughter of Dewey and Maggie Gray West. She grew up in the Athens Community and she married Rubel Miller and together they raised a family. Prior to her retirement, she was a master seamstress working with Amory Garment Co. for 42 years. Mrs. Miller was a member of Athens Baptist Church and she attended regularly until her health failed. Her hobbies included gardening, fishing, taking care of her yard, and quilting. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Butch Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Cemetery.
Survivors include her two sons, Larry Miller (Linda Kay) of Amory and Roger Miller (Barbara) of Amory; two brothers, Dudley West of Gattman and Doyle West (Margaret) of Athens; one sister, Brenda Seymore (James) of Athens; 8 grandchildren, her caregiver, Meachell Elam (Lee), Glenn Weaver (Pam), Sherri George (Davey), Chris Miller (Gayle), Steve Miller (Sandra), Ginger Moore (Shannon), Kelly Miller, and Tyler Miller; 16 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rubel Miller; son, Danny Miller; daughter, Carol Weaver; and 3 sisters, Evelyn Head, Sara Huskey, and Nellie Moton Sinsang.
Pallbearers will be Steve Miller, Glenn Weaver, Kelly Miller, Chris Miller, Brad Elam, and Mark Cassells.
