Amory- Elizabeth Ann Adams, 62, passed away on Sunday, JUly 5, 2020 at the University Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Blytheville, Arkansas to Dwain and Winona Kent Emmons. She graduated from Coahoma County High School and later graduated from Delta State University with an Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Ann married the love of her life, Mike Adams on December 8, 1979. In 1991, she and Mike moved to Amory where she held a longtime career as a medical transcriptionist at Gilmore Memorial Hospital and later worked from her home. Ann was blessed with a green thumb, and she raised many gardens to share with her friends and family and loved to keep her flower gardens in top notch shape. She also enjoyed sewing, and recently made it her mission to sew face masks for her family and front line workers during the Covid 19 pandemic. Having and adventurous spirit, she loved to travel with her family and Mike, taking several cruises and trips during their time together. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, when she would transform her home into a spectacularly decorated Christmas wonderland. More than anything, she loved and cherished time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her husband, Mike Adams, Amory; sons, Trey Adams (Alicia) Seymour-Johnson AFB, North Carolina and Brandon Adams (Robin), Amory; mother, Winona Emmons; sister, Martha Bennett, Arkansas; brothers, Doug Emmons (Barbara). TX and Brian Emmons (Janice), Ar; grandchildren, Kalyn Adams, Toby Adams, Sebastian Robertson, Aiden Adams, Anabelle Robertson and Josiah Adams; special niece, Beth Foster; special friends, Tammy Pigg and Camille Hachett; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Dolly Kent.
Visitation will be at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 5pm until 8pm. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
