Douglas Jones

Douglas Howard Jones, 65, passed away at his home on June 6, 2026. Born on May 3, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, Douglas was the son of Martha Scofield and Dewey Jones. He later made Mississippi his home and attended Hamilton High School. Douglas spent many years working as a truck driver before retiring from Tombigbee Pallet Plant. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career. In his free time, Douglas enjoyed collecting a variety of items and could often be found working on cars. He had a passion for tinkering, repairing, and bringing old things back to life.

Douglas is survived by his Mother; Martha Geraldine Jones of Hamilton, Brother; Mark Jones of Athens, Nephew; Christopher Jones of Aberdeen.

He is preceded in death by his Father; Dewey Howard Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 12 p.m. with Bro. Terry Edwards officiating.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
