Donna Chism Smith

Donna Gay Chism Smith, 64, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the NMMC in Tupelo. She was born in Aberdeen on August 4, 1957 to the late KB and Shelby Jean Brown Chism. Donna grew up in Amory and attended both Amory and Hatley Schools. In her younger years, she worked at Lucky Starr and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, watching Nascar collecting miniatures and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Arterberry (Jay), Plantersville, Christy Gordon, VA, Danielle Melton (Justin), Mooreville and Natasha Smith, Tupelo; sister, Gail Brown (Butch), Bigbee; grandchildren, Sennarius Hersey, Skyla Long, JJ Arterberry, Jordan Melton, Leigha Melton, Bentley Melton, Jacob Melton, Jhalia Small and Shelby Odum; great grandchildren, Aaron Jones, Kassidy Shinn and Jaxon Johnson; nieces Kimberly Holloway (JJ), Lynn Brown and Karrie Brown.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtlyn Green; great granddaughter, Kylin Small; nephews, Michael and Terry Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 AM until the service hour at 11.
