Donna Kay Shelton Reese, 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born in Missouri on January 27, 1957. Donna married Jerry Reese on March 1, 1979 and together they celebrated over 40 years until his passing in 2021. Donna and Jerry were blessed with 4 children. She worked in the food service industry and always greeted her students and customers with a smile. Donna was a devoted mother and loved to spend time and spoil her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard, fishing and taking motorcycle trips. Donna always possessed a can do attitude and when she was diagnosed with cancer in November, it was her faith and positive attitude that led her to a courageous fight and the will to live. Donna knew that heaven would be her home and spent her last few months proclaiming and showing the love of Jesus to all. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
Donna is survived by her son, Joshua Reese, Amory; daughters, Kara Stanley (Jathan), Amory, Mary West, Amory and Audrey Jordan, (Zach), Amory; grandchildren, Olivia Jordan, Emmi Reese, Ayden Reese, Jacob and Caleb West. Also survived is a special person dear to her heart, Gary Pickle, Amory; cousin that she dearly loved, Dianne Clawson, St. Louis and sister, Clara Reubel of Navarre, FL; mother in law, Cora Reese.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Reese; mother, Virginia Sue Swan; father in law, Harvey Lee Reese, sister in law, Judy Henson, family friends Billy and Brenda McBunch; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Burks, Bro. Robert Fowlkes and Bro. Bubba Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Howell Annex Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Garza, Tony Garza, Brandon McDaniel, Timothy Jordan, David McBunch, Matthew McMahon, Brian Hendrix and Austin Renfro.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening at the funeral home from 5-7 PM.
