Debbie Sloan

October 27, 1964 — March 1, 2022

Debbie Sloan, 57, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born on October 27, 1964 to Alvie Thorn and Doris James Jernigan, and was a graduate of Red Bay High School and worked as a Product Developer at Lane Furniture. Debbie was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling with her husband Randy in her earlier years and loved going to the beach and reading a good book. Her family was her world and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She loved to cook and just spend time with her friends and family. 

 

Funeral Services will be on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to the funeral with Chuck Moffett officiating. 

 

Debbie is survived by her father, Alvie Thorn, Red Bay; son, Tyler Burt, Fulton; daughters, Tabatha Rogers, Hatley, Briana Rogers, Fulton; brother, Eric Thorn; sisters, Gloria Jarrell, Tupelo, Amanda Walls, Iuka; grandchildren, Kain Murrell, Madison Rogers, Trevor Rogers, Khloe Rogers, Kolbie Rogers, Justin Rogers II, Nova Rogers; great grandchildren, Kyson Rogers; mother-in-law, Carla Glasgow.

 

She is preceeded in death by her mom, Doris Jernigan; husband, Randy Sloan; grandparents Everett and Mable James. 

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Nick Rogers, Justin Rogers, David Dodd, Andy Sloan, Zach Hunt, Chase Jarrell, Stevie Martinez, and Matt Irvin.
