David Ford

David Clinton Ford, 73, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born in Monroe County on January 30, 1951 and was a son to Clinton Eldridge “Bud” Ford and Frances Boyd Sims. David lived many years in Yazoo City and before his retirement, he was a welder and farmer. A Baptist by faith, his hobbies included fishing and deer hunting.

 A graveside memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Howell Cemetery with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

 He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Fry of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Jerry Ford (Dianne) of Amory and Larry Ford (Hazel) of Aberdeen; one sister, Lisa Carlisle (Boyd) of the Athens Community; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant child.
