Cathy Jimenez

Cathy Laura Ledbetter Jimenez, 68, passed away at the Care Center of Aberdeen on Thursday, October 9, 2025.  She was born in Arkansas on September 30, 1957 to the late Jesse and Wanda Purdom Ledbetter.  Cathy graduated from high school in Leaf River, Illinois.  She married Jose Jimenez in 1986.  For the last 32 years she lived and raised her family in Becker.  Cathy worked 23 years as a custodian at the Amory Middle School.  In her free time she enjoyed working puzzle books, shopping every chance she could get and spending time in the outdoors.  Cathy was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  She cherished moments with family and adored her grandchildren.  She was also a member of Becker Baptist Church.  

Cathy is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jose Jimenez, Amory; sons, Michael Jimenez (Brea), Amory and Lucas Jimenez, Amory; sisters, Lucy Agee of Becker and Beverly Clapper of Kentucky; grandchildren, Lydiah, Miles, Hallie, Anna, Alyssia, Sofia, Michael and Ren Jiminez; nieces, Amanda Haro and Angelica Haro; nephews, Jesse Pool, Fermin Haro and Robbie Carson.

In addition to her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by her siblings, Donna Haro and Richard Ledbetter.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Jason Green officiating.  Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Fermin Haro, Jaden Haro, Robbie Carson, J.J. Carter, Eric Ray and Nick Chambers.  Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Pinkard.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday from 12 PM until 2 PM.
