Bobby Sanders

Bobby Wayne Sanders, 86, passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at his residence. Bobby was born in the Acker Switch area of Becker on October 16, 1936 to the late Jewel and Geraldine Hill Sanders.  For the last 75 years Bobby lived on the family farm on Acker Road.  Bobby was a farmer by trade and worked for several years at Eutaw Construction.  If there was an equipment sale, Bobby along with his brother, Murray were there.  He enjoyed buying and selling tractors and equipment.  He also enjoyed sitting outside visiting with his friends and neighbors daily.  Bobby loved to garden and could grow some of the best watermelons around.  

He is survived by his brother, Murray Sanders, Amory; sister, Jimmie Reeves, Amory; nieces, Mary Ann Sanders, Pam James, Rose Reeves and Anna Reeves; nephews, Matt Sanders and Ben Reeves.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Sanders Harris and a brother, Tommy “Bug” Sanders.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Greenbrier Cemetery with Bishop Howell officiating.  Pallbearers will be Matt Sanders, Ben Reeves, Mary Ann Sanders, Jimmy Doyle Fowlkes, Doyle Fowlkes, Matt Waddell.  Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 PM Sunday evening.

Visitation will be Saturday afternoon at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory from 5-7 PM.
