Bobby Murff

Bobby Gene Murff, 81, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at River Place Nursing Center in Amory. He was born on April 17, 1940 in Monroe County to the late Woody Wilford Murff, Sr and Cora Funderburk Murff. He married the late Elaine Eubanks in 1962. Bobby was an old school trucker who believed in hard work, taking care of your rig and arriving on time to each delivery. He team drove with his buddy, Farrell Williams for several years, retiring from VF Jeans Wear. Bobby enjoyed sitting in the outdoors on the porch and spending time working on his place with his tractor. More than anything, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He attended the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Smith (Larry), Aberdeen; son, Timothy Murff, Aberdeen; grandchildren, Jessica Faulk, Nathan Murff, Noella Murff, Michael Dodds, Breanna Barnhart, Brandon Murff and Christopher Mitchem; a host or great and great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Stanford and his brother, Woody Wilford Murff, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Minister Marshall Eubanks officiating.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday from 5-7 PM.
