Bobbie Tubb

Bobbie Jeanne Tubb, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at her home. She was born on January 5, 1933 to Andy James and Alta Lee Brown Banks in Brownville, Alabama. She was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. In her younger years she lived in Florida where she worked for Dade County. She later married George Albert Tubb and worked in the area garment industry before becoming a homemaker for her family. Bobbie enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening. She loved visiting with friends and family, and was always happy and smiling so she never met a stranger and visited with everyone. She was proudest of her two boys and loved animals, especially her little dog, Cooter Brown.  She grew up in the Baptist Faith. 

Bobbie is survived by her sons; Preston Tubb (Robbie) of Hatley and Sam Tubb of Hatley; stepchildren, Louise Cox of Evergreen, John T. Tubb (Cheryl) of Florida, Patricia Reeves of the Carolina Community, Donald Tubb of Michigan, a host of nieces and nephews, and a special friend; Fay Forrester of Smithville.

In addition to her parents and husband, George Albert Tubb,  Bobbie is preceded in death by her siblings, George Banks, Willie Dillard, Martha Gilliland and Oba Alexander.

Services will be at Cleveland- Moffett Funeral Home onThursday, November 2, 2023 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial will follow at Hatley Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1 at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Farrar, Jeremy Farrar, Austin Howell, Damarcus Hampton, Bobby Lee Sanderson, and Brett Edwards.
