Billy Durham

Billy Orr Durham, 81, passed away at Oak Tree Manor on Friday, May 1, 2026.  He was born in Sunflower County, MS on January 6, 1945 to the late Thomas and Thelma Leona Fivecoat Durham.  Billy married Mary Carolyn Boykin in 1964.  He owned and operated Billy's Locksmith Service and also worked at Cooper Tire.  He enjoyed westerns, fishing and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grands and great grands.  He also served in the Army Reserves.

Billy is survived by his daughters, Buddie Rose Rowell (Billy Ray), Aberdeen and Christie Ramsey (Jake), Tupelo; sons, Billy Durham (Esther) Benton, KY and Paul Durham, Little Rock, AR; sisters, Willie Rybolt and Lottie Lester; grandchildren, Scottie Dale Mayo, Jr. (Anna Grace), Wyatt Mayo, Mary Katherine Durham, Christina Durham, Gerald Durham, Louis Durham, Colton Thompson, Dominic Seely, Dawson Seely, Walker Seely, Chris Rowell and Austin Rowell; great grandchildren, Waylon Dale Mayo, Presley Grace Mayo, Ashlyn Havens and Samantha Johnson; all of the residents and staff at Oaktree Manor.

In addition to his wife and parents, Billy is preceded in death by his sisters, Clare Zell Walker, Ina Chandler; brothers, Harrison and Charles Durham; grandson, Paul Durham, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Jack Inmon officiating.  Burial will be held in Verona City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Rowell, Scottie Mayo, Jr., Billy Lester, Robert Narmour and Paul Durham.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from noon until 2 PM.
