Bill Bo Earnest, 62, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. Bill was born on June 8, 1955 in Monroe County to Johnny and Kay Griggs Rogers Earnest. He grew up in Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen High School and he married Sandra Tubb on June 8, 1996. Prior to his retirement, Bill proudly worked 26 years at Tronox taking his job seriously dedicated to doing a job right. He had previously worked for Coca Cola and Dowdle Gas. He was self giving always willing to lend a hand to anyone, he most enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren especially, Sarah, who he affectionately called, Love while Lily and Abby always brought a smile to his face. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed antique car and car shows and flipping houses with his wife. Bill watched Alabama sports and would often attend the games and he enjoyed going to the beach. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Dr. Roy McHenry officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Earnest of Amory; his mother, Kay Francis Rogers of Aberdeen; 3 sons, Christopher England (Kaila) of Tuscaloosa, Brad Odom (Casey M.) of Amory, and Billy W. Earnest of Hamilton, AL; one daughter, Jennifer Self of Ecru; 7 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Larry F. Tubb; special friends, Stanley Doss, Tracy Pickle, Wade Horne, Robert Nash, Harold West, and friends and co-workers at Tronox. He was preceded in death by one brother, Allen Earnest; one sister, Mary Traywick; step father, R.C. Rogers; and sister-in-law, Judy Sloan. Pallbearers will be Stanley Doss, Tracy Pickle, Wade Horne, Michael D. Dykes, Michael L. Dykes, and Matthew Dykes. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Tubb and coworkers from Tronox. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148-0522.
