Betty Ayala

Betty Jewell White Ayala, 73, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Amory on May 5, 2026. She was born in Red Bay, Alabama on April 15, 1953 to the late Ezra Yale White and Velma Iris Vinson White. Betty attended both Tremont and Fulton Schools. She married Augustine Ayala in the early 1990’s. Betty worked as a seamstress in the area garment industry. She was also a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. Betty was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed quilting. More than anything, Betty loved her Lord. She always had a song in her heart and loved to sing and praise Jesus. Betty never ended a conversation without saying something encouraging and testifying of her faith. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Betty will be fondly remember for her smile, positive attitude, heart full of love and unwavering faith in God.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8 at the funeral home from 5-7 PM.
