Alma Faye Summerford

Alma Faye Knight Summerford, 87, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on Saturday, January 31, 2026.  She was born in Monroe County, MS on November 9, 1938 to the late Jerome and Clister Elizabeth Eastman Knight.  Alma Faye married the love of her life, Eulon Summerford on February 7, 1955.  They had 65 wonderful years together until his death in 2020.  Alma Faye and Eulon began working in the area garment industry together.  Together they enjoyed many fishing trips, estate sales and trips to the Smokey Mountains.  Alma Faye enjoyed gardening and she and Eulon provided many friends and neighbors with what they had grown.  They also enjoyed going to gospel singings.  You never saw Alma Faye without Eulon by her side until after his death.  A kind and caring person, she never met a stranger.  Alma Faye loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a longtime member of Turon New Bethel Methodist Church.  

Alma Faye is survived by her sons, Marlon Summerford (Myrna), Summerford and Keith Summerford (Debbie), Amory; grandchildren, Drew Summerford (Dakota), Jayme Wiggins (Doug),Luke Summerford and Caleb Summerford; great grandchildren, Blake and Ryleigh Summerford, Wes and Walker Wiggins, Audrey and Rhodes Summerford; great great granddaughter, Rosa Lucille Hall; a host of nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents and husband, Alma Faye is preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine Gregory, Gena Lee Gaddy and Linda Odom; brother, Roger Knight.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 ay Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Rev. Sammy Washburn officiating.  Burial will follow in Young Memorial Gardens in Smithville.  Pallbearers will be Drew Summerford, Luke Summerford, Caleb Summerford, Doug Wiggins, Wes Wiggins, Blake Summerford and Johnny Gregory.  Honorary pallbearers will be Walker Wiggins and Rhodes Summerford.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 AM until 1 PM.
