Ronal D. Reich

June 14, 1943 — June 19, 2017

Ronal D. Reich, 74, entered into rest with his Savior and Lord Monday, June 19, 2017 at his residence. Born June 14, 1943 in Itawamba County, he was a son of Ottis Eron and Doris Pennington Reich. He grew up in Fulton and he graduated from Amory High School. In 1961, he married Linda Noe Danner. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Pennsylvania Tire, Riech’ s Grocery, and later for True Temper Sports. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with family friends fishing for crappie and bream. Bird hunting was an enjoyable past time for Ronal and many great memories were made with Charlie and Randall Bennett on their rabbit hunting excursions. After his retirement, Blue Bluff Campground in Aberdeen became a second home as he and Linda developed many lifelong friends there. Known by many as “Big Daddy,” family was of utmost importance to Ronal and he cherished the time he was able to spend with his wife, children, grandchildren, and particularly his great grandson. He was a founding member and founding board member of Cornerstone Family Fellowship in Amory. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and spent much time coaching his daughter and her friends in softball. Funeral services for Mr. Reich will be 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Cornerstone Family Fellowship in Amory with Pastor Greg Huguley, Bro. Charles Petty, and Bro. Steve Reich officiating. Burial will be in the Hatley Cemetery. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda Noe Danner Reich of Amory; two sons, Steve Reich (Sue) of Pontotoc and Scott Reich of Fulton; one daughter, Amy Knott (Ken) of Amory; one brother, James Ellis “Jim” Reich of Columbus; 4 grandchildren, Rusty Reich, Cortnei Garner, Wesley Knott, and Neely Knott; great grandson, Case Carter Martin; 4 step grandchildren, Nita Cleveland, Adam Cleveland, Amanda Johnson (Trey) and Madison Boyd; and 7 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Larry Don Riech, Larry McNeese, Larry Colburn, Rickey Barnett, Charles Holcomb, Julian Perminter, Robert Smith, and David Hunt. Honorary pallbearers will be A.B. “Sonny” Rooks and Members of Cornerstone Seniors Small Group. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service at the church.
