Mary Lois Bailey Word, 47, died on Tuesday at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born July 29, 1968 in Monroe County she was a daughter to James C. and Mildred Taylor Bailey. Prior to retirement, she worked for the Block Corporation. Known affectionately to her family as “May May,” she was married to Joey Word and she was a member of the Providence Baptist Church. Her hobbies included watching soap operas and she enjoyed listening to gospel music. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Scott Johnson officiating. Survivors include her husband, Joey Word of Amory; one daughter, Bailey Marie Horne of the home; two stepsons, Zach and Clark Word both of Smithville; and two sisters, Patricia Morris and Donna Honnoll (Daniel) both of Aberdeen. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Shelia McGarrh. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
