Farrell Williams

Richmond Farrell Williams, 66, known to hundreds as ‘Slim’ died on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born March 9, 1950 in Jones County, Mississippi, he was a son of Richmond James and Freddie Mae Ray Williams and he married Judith Eubanks. As a part of what keeps America moving, he was an over-the-road truck driver for over 30 years and after his retirement he enjoyed carpentry and was a self-proclaimed jack of all trades. Proudly serving his country, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he was a faithful member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. He was known for his quick wit and his favorite pastime was sitting around an outside fire with his family and friends. His hobbies included camping, fishing, and cooking. Memorial services for Slim will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel with Marshall Eubanks, Jr., Bobby Cleveland, and Andy Willingham officiating. Survivors include his wife, Judith Williams of Aberdeen; one son, Patrick Williams (Christie) of Aberdeen; two daughters, Katherine Willingham (Andy) of Amory and Victoria Benson (Chris) of Aberdeen; one brother, James Terrell Williams of Idaho; two sisters, Carlee Johnson (Virgil) of Gulfport and Faye Hall (Burl) of Ellisville; 6 grandchildren, Amber Knight (Justin), Airrey Williams, Kylar Poole, Mary Katherine Willingham, Drenon Benson, and Elaina Grace Benson; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will follow after the memorial service at the funeral home.
