Anthony Parham

Anthony Ray Parham, 57, died on Friday, September 11, 2015, at his home. Born August 19, 1958 in Monroe County, he was a son of Paul Ray and Betty Conwill Parham. A lifelong resident of Hatley, he was a graduate of Hatley High School and he was married to Freida Webb. Prior to retirement, he worked 20 years at Litco Petroleum as a maintenance supervisor. A man of great faith, he was a member of the Church of Christ, attending the New Hope and Amory congregations, and he loved to listen to gospel music. A great friend to all, he was known for his positive attitude and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating and camping. He was an avid Ole Miss sports fan and especially enjoyed listening to his son’s sports podcast. He was also a member of Big O and Rural Hill hunting clubs. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015, at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Mr. Fred Webb officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Freida Webb Parham of Hatley; his mother, Betty Parham Miller of Hatley; one son, Chase Parham (Kara) of Oxford; two daughters, Amber Parker (Chris) of Hatley and Holley Pearce of Kinston, NC; two brothers, Keith Parham (Dottie) of Hatley and Scott Parham (Angel) of Amory; one sister, Jennifer Taylor (Tommy) of Hatley; two grandchildren, Heyden Parker and Caylee Parker; his grandmother, Christine Carpenter; nieces and nephews, Jake Self (Areial), Madison and Whitleigh Seales, Cody and Kayla Taylor and Cheyenne Warren. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Richard Rydell Parham and grandson, Clark Parham. Pallbearers will be Mark Parham, Danny Parham, Steve Fowlkes, J Horne, Donnie Bowen, Ken Williams, Ricky Joe Inmon, Charles Langley, and Dewayne Otts. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Waide, Ricky Hopkins, Mack Webb, Dr. Mark Strong, Jerry Walters, and Litco Employees. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
